There is no minimum LSAT score for applicants, but the rock-bottom LSAT score received by a member of Yale School of Law’s most recently admitted class is 155, respectively.

50% of successful applicants received an LSAT score of 173 or higher. In other words, outstanding baccalaureate grades and an LSAT score of at least 173 are required for admission to Yale Law School. According to admission data, Yale regularly accepts students with ACT many 33 or higher. ACT scores within the top 2% of all applicants are typically sent. In some cases, Yale estimates that the minimum ACT composite score accepted by the school is around 32.

Transfer Requirements For Yale Law School 

Only applicants enrolled in American Bar Association-approved law schools within the  United States will be considered.

To be eligible to matriculate, applicants in part-time and evening school of law programs must earn the same number of credits as a rising second-year student in their schools’ full-time programs. Coursework completed through correspondence or online courses won’t be granted credit, except for courses completed online. 

Typically, 24 schools of law credits are required to be considered a rising second-year student. The Registrar’s Office will make a proper determination of the number of credits that will transfer to Yale Law School upon admission. A non-refundable $85 application fee must accompany all transfer applications.
