All students must submit their SAT or ACT scores to Texas A&M’s main campus in College Station. 

Sixty-two percent of admitted students submitted their SAT scores during the 2018–19 admissions cycle.

Who may submit a first-year application to TAMU? If you have a high school diploma or the equivalent and have graduated, you are qualified to apply to Texas A&M.

Transfer Requirements for Texas a&m

The University of Texas at Arlington admits transfer students from other universities, much like any other public institution.

If a student has previously completed high school and has enrolled in a post-secondary institution, whether or not they have earned credits there, they are eligible for transfer admission to Texas A&M. 

A transfer student must meet certain criteria in order to be admitted.

The typical GPA requirement for students applying for transfer admission is 2.5 on a minimum of twenty-four hours of graded transferrable courses.

Applicants can use the Common App or ApplyTexas to submit their applications. Your admission decision is independent of the application you select. 

NOTE: From the time your application is successfully submitted until Texas A&M receives it, it typically takes 3-5 business days. Check the email address you provided on the application for communications regarding the application acknowledgment.

3. Processing Fee That Is Not Refundable

4. Self-reported academic achievement (SRAR)

All freshmen are required to complete self-reported academic achievement (SRAR), except for students who have not graduated from a U.S. high school and GED alumni.

 In most cases, the SRAR replaces the high school transcript used by admissions offices during the initial admissions process. 

The applicant completes her SRAR using her official high school transcript and lists courses and relevant grades completed or in progress for high school and/or college credit.

SRAR can take from 2 hours to 6 hours, depending on the class. Please allow enough time to complete it.

Texas residents in the top 10% ranking are required to submit an SRAR (Self-Reported Academic Record).

You must also verify your ranking by submitting official high school transcripts, including relative numerical rankings, via the TREx or AIS upload facility.
