Eligibility for the University of Alberta Scholarships


For entry scholarships and awards, applicants must fulfil the following minimum academic requirements:

cite an admissions average that satisfies or exceeds the standards set forth for the particular scholarship or prize.

Having less than 12 credits of university coursework completed while in high school, or attending university after taking a break between high school and university as long as no post-secondary credit was earned during that break.

In September of the following year, begin their first year of full-time study in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta.

There may be additional requirements for scholarships. Based on admissions data and scholarship applications, your eligibility for certain scholarships will be determined. There is no assurance that satisfying eligibility requirements will lead to a scholarship or award offer because their scholarship and award competitions are competitive.

Offers for entrance awards are subject to the veracity of your self-reported grades. Your award offer may be withdrawn if there is a mismatch between your self-reported grades and your final official transcript.

IELTS is not required.
