Requirements for renewal (Freshmen)
To keep your scholarship, you must meet the following requirements during your time at Iowa State:
A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required while enrolled at Iowa State.
Continuous enrollment in at least 12-semester credits per semester (summers not included)
This award is only available to students who pay non-resident tuition.
The award is only valid for undergraduate tuition and fees.
Transfer Students
International transfer merit scholarships are given to students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement as well as exceptional talent or accomplishments in one or more of the following areas: math and sciences, the arts, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, innovation, or entrepreneurship. To be considered for the award, students must complete the OneApp scholarship application.
Criteria for Iowa State University Scholarship (Transfer Students)
An international transfer student must meet the following criteria;
- This award is open to incoming international transfer students who have been accepted but will not be receiving financial support from their home country’s government.
- A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (B)
- Complete the Iowa State University OneApp application.
- Complete the General OneApp application AND
- Complete the International Student Admissions Scholarship application.
Requirements for renewal (Transfer Students)
To keep your scholarship, you must meet the following requirements during your time at Iowa State:
- Continuous enrollment in a minimum of 12 semester credits each semester with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (summers not included)
- This award is only available to students who have been assessed for international tuition.
- The award is only valid for undergraduate tuition and fees.
